James Bond Island is the biggest tourist attraction at Phang Nga Bay National Park, most people has seen this shot in the James Bond movie from the 70's.

Phang Nga Bay is on the northeast of Phuket, though there are many tours from Phuket and Krabi, we decided the other adveture way to reach James Bond Island Ourself.

It was a 1 hour drive from Krabi and the way to island is very beautiful, the limestone cliffs around the highway make the journey memorable and refreshing

We booked our boat for 1700 Baht per boat and after a nice seneric Lunch we started our National Park Tour.

the place is beautiful and the entire surrounding area is spectacular, the main attraction of this island is the standing rock just offshore, which itself is sometimes called James Bond Island, but is actually called Koh Tapu, meaning nail island.

There are some stalls that sold souvenirs on this small stretch of beach, most of them selling sea shells and jewelry fashioned from the shells. If you don't intend to buy, just ignore the sellers.

The journey out there through Phang Nga Bay is breathtaking and James Bond island is just stunning. A fantastic day out.
